Is it better to move furniture or buy new?

A lot of factors go into whether it is better to buy new furniture when moving or keep the old. If you are staying in town it is probably easier to keep old furniture. However for a cross country move it is better to sell and save money. Bigger pieces of furniture might cost more to ship and have to be broken down. It is important to consider how valuable your furniture is to you. Weather it be an antique passed down in the family or sturdy furniture that can last a while. Sometimes when you move to a new home taking older furniture doesn’t seem as appealing. It is more appealing at times to have new furniture in the home.
