Moving
Although we are a moving company in Winston Salem, charges only begin when we arrive at the first location, and charges end after unloading and any reassembly is complete at the final destination. After your minimum is met (local moves are billed hourly) time is then based on 15 minute time increments. Please let us know if your will have any exceptional large and heavy items such as pianos, organs, pool tables, hot tubs, big screen TVs or playground equipment, machinery, etc. Extra charges will apply.
Packing
Does packing really look like this much fun? Maybe not. Let the experienced team at American Moving do the packing for you. We’ll come out in advance of your move and pack your items to give them the best chance of arriving safely at their destination as well as maximizing space, so we can make your move as cost effective as possible.
Labor Only
ONLY NEED THE MUSCLES, AND NOT THE TRUCK?
We also provide the manpower to load and unload rental trucks, trailers, your vehicles or to simply rearrange furniture within your home for affordable rates.
Rate for Moves Over 35 Miles
The rates for moves over 35 miles are determined based on weight, and distance. We provide long distance moves up to 900 miles from the Piedmont Triad. Weight is generally estimated 1,000-1,500 pounds per room, or 7lbs per cubic foot of loaded truck space. Because of the numerous weight/distance combinations please call or schedule a time for us to come to your home for an accurate and binding quote.
